T&T Newsletter - Monday 27 January 2025

Updated: Feb 3

Welcome to the last week of January T&T VIPs! Christmas seems like a distant happy memory and the year is already marching forward with an equal mix of excitement and anticipation of what's to come in 2025.

Here at Tried & True we're obivously counting the days until the sun comes out, the garden is open and there's warm morning to enjoy brunch with Friends.... but in the mean time it's been fantastic to see so many of you braving the elements, alone or with family in tow, to pop and enjoy our cafe!

We sadly waved goodbye to my brother and his family a couple of weeks ago as they returned to Wellington. It was wonderful to share Christmas with them after many years but saying goodbye was hard.

If you're struggling with the come down after Christmas, saying goodbye to family and friends and trudging around the neighbourhood in the driving rain and the wind don't forget the words of Albert Camus...

"In the depth of winter, I finally learned that within me there lay an invincible summer”

Dig deep friends. Brighter day are coming soon.

We look forward to seeing you soon!

5 STAR Review

Dino Derek Hughes shared his love for our café, and we couldn't be more grateful! Here's what he had

to say:

"Best breakfast/brunch place in Putney/Barnes in my opinion. Coffee is on par with the best (artisan, ...), food is great (I recommend the skillets and the eggs Benedict), and I also love the environment."

Thank you, Dino, for the kind words! We’re thrilled you enjoyed our T&T Skillet Hash and eggs Benedict. Your support inspires us to keep creating amazing dishes and serving top-quality coffee.
