Happy St. Patrick's Day from all of us at Tried & True! As we celebrate this festive day, we're wishing you a week filled with happiness and good fortune.
Though London gave us that tantalizing glimpse of summer only a week ago, we know spring hasn't fully arrived just yet. The journey continues, but isn't that what makes the destination sweeter?
In these final weeks of winter, let's focus on what truly matters—sharing precious moments with loved ones over hearty, comforting food. We're extending the St Paddy's magic all this week. Our tables are ready, our coffee is brewing, and our community is waiting.
Sláinte to warmer days ahead!

Did You Know? Guinness Edition

Guinness is one of the most iconic beers in the world, first brewed in 1759 by Arthur Guinness at St. James’s Gate Brewery in Dublin, Ireland. The brewery’s lease was famously signed for 9,000 years, ensuring its legacy for generations.
The beer is known for its deep ruby-red color (not black!) and creamy white head, which comes from a mix of nitrogen and carbon dioxide in its signature pour. A proper Guinness pour takes 119.5 secondsand follows a two-part pour method to achieve its smooth texture.
Guinness is brewed with four simple ingredients: water, barley, hops, and yeast. Some of the barley is roasted, giving it that distinct coffee and chocolate-like flavour. Interestingly, a pint of Guinness has fewer calories than a pint of orange juice or most lagers, making it a surprisingly light choice for beer lovers.
The brand’s famous advertising campaigns, featuring slogans like “Guinness is Good for You”, have made it a cultural icon. Today, over 10 million glasses of Guinness are enjoyed daily across 150+ countries.
Guinness also plays a major role in Irish celebrations, especially on St. Patrick’s Day, when millions of pints are consumed worldwide. 🍀🍻
